What an amazing few months it has been for the Pittsburgh Horror Drunx Chapter. I was fortunate enough, thanks to the
kindness of Mortimer A. London, Sid Terror and the rest of the Horror Drunx family to resurrect the Pittsburgh Horror Drunx Chapter back in July 2009.
Upon doing so, I made one solemn promise and that was to take the chapter to a level that it hadn't yet seen. Upon taking helm of the chapter which
had fallen apart at the seam with the previous chapter member M.I.A. and no records of initial members, I had to basically start from scratch. I was
fortunate enough to be offered pointers and guidance from some very wonderful and supportive chapter leaders throughout the country. To those, I send
my heartfelt gratitude.
The rebirth of the chapter was received with overwhelmingly strong support around the Pittsburgh and neighboring area.
Horror Kids, punks, drunx and movie fanatics eagerly joined the chapter to show their support. Something big was brewing in this young chapter. Around
August it dawned on me that we actually had a chapter. Finally! The time was right to set in motion plans for the first Pittsburgh Horror Drunx Bash! I
began kicking the idea around to two of the chapters most eager and active members, J-Sin and Dick Dangerous. Also known as the boys from the Sic-Inc
Tattoo shop. J-Sin mentioned that the plans for the first Pittsburgh Horror Drunx Bash coincided with his annual Sic-Inc anniversary party. He
suggested that we combine the two and knew of a local bar owner who would lend us his pub for free. This was too good to be true! The Horror Drunx in
charge of a pub for the night, local residents take warn!!!

With some very supportive local bands Children Of October and Suburban Slaughter, we had two acts of entertainment on the bill, a free bar and near 60 unruly chapter members eager to make this one big family of horrors.

On Saturday, October 24th we finally got to celebrate the very first Pittsburgh Horror Drunx Bash! Well over a hundred
people were in attendance throughout the 7 hour event. Those adorning costumes participated in our best costume contest and were award door prizes
ranging from free t-shirts, Sic-Inc Tattooing gift certificates or skeleton and zombie trophies!!! My lovely wife, Demonica Daggers and I were voted as
the best costumed couple, while other participants were awarded scariest costume and most original costume prizes.

We offered 50/50 raffles with earnings in the upper hundreds. All attending chapter members received two complimentary DVD's on behalf of Laura Seli, director of "Sabbath" and "Dread". We even had our very own horror movie trivia contest where myself and chapter member A-Bomb fired off 13 horror trivia questions. I tossed plastic pumpkins to the drunx who yelled the correct answer first. At the end of the 13 questions, the drunk with the most plastic pumpkins received a free chapter bash t-shirt in which the bash flier was printed on. The winner of the first Pittsburgh Horror Drunx trivia contest was none other than chapter member, Mario Dominick Congrats Mario!!! The curtain drew on the night with A-Bomb and a handful of chapter members singing and hollering a drunkin' karaoke to Danzig's "Mother". Oh, what a time!

All in all the night went smashingly well., although we did have some issues with the PA system for the bands and the
transmission in my car blew on the way to the bash! Overall the attendance was everything I expected and the unity amongst the chapter members (most of
whom were meeting for the very first time) was spooktacular!!! I want to thank all of those who attended and showed their support. Because of you our
first bash was a success! And for those of you who couldn't make it out for the initial bash, I look forward to seeing you at the next. As always,
