HOLLYWOOD -
Eric Caidin, a Horror Drunx supporter and member, has been a voice in the horror community for the last several decades. He is also one of the
co'presenters of The Grindhouse Film Festival, plus has owned and operated (since 1977) perhaps the best motion-picture memorabilia store in
Hollywood...HOLLYWOOD BOOK AND POSTER COMPANY.
Apparently, FRIDAY, April 18, 2008, former CULT MOVIES Magazine publisher Mike Copner entered Hollywood Book And Poster Company with a concealed weapon on
his person in an apparent premeditated plot to murder Eric Caidin. There were no suspicious signs, until Caidin turned his back for a moment, at which time
Copner leapt on him with a sharpened screwdriver and repeatedly stabbed the man. A struggle ensued in which glass cases and shelves were broken. Finally
after several minutes Mike Copner was subdued by members of the HB&P staff and the Hollywood Division of the L.A.P.D. were summoned to the scene.

Mike Copner was arrested and booked on several charges including Attempted Murder. Eric Caidin was hospitalized, his wounds were fortunately not serious.
When we contacted him by phone for comment, he was released from the hospital, medicated and resting comfortably, though in pain and suffering from blurred
vision as a result of the attack. A date has not yet been released to the public for Mike Copner's court appearance.

This is just one example of some of the twisted minds and unhinged psyche's of mainstream Horror Magazine publishers today. Should Mortimer A. London be
watchful of our suppressors to the North? What would Criswell predict? Accused attempted murderer Mike Copner is quoted as ominously saying "Only the
future will tell!"

STORY UPDATE: Though Eric Caidin was in bad shape for awhile (after all, Copner tried to gouge his eyes out with a screwdriver) and had some complications due to additional stab wounds, we are happy to report that Eric has bounced back and is doing great, well on the way to mending 100%.
Mike Copner is in the County Jail awaiting his court date for charges of Attempted Murder and Terrorist Threats, his bail has been reduced from one million dollars to $600,000 but he won't be getting out any time soon. Hopefully he is getting the anti-psycho meds and other treatment he needs for a brain tumor and his assorted mental dysfunctions... And will hopefully never again darken the door of Hollywood Book And Poster Company or any other place that he means to harm anyone.
